APL Logistics wins business from Harman Group

APL Logistics has been contracted by Harman, a global leading provider of premium audio and infotainment solutions, to be their logistics service provider.
Harman is the parent company behind an array of legendary brands including Harman Kardon®, JBL®, Mark Levinson® and Infinity®. The two-year warehouse contract with APL Logistics China was awarded following a competitive tender that included several international competitors.

APL and APL Logistics win contract from Indian Rayon

APL and APL Logistics India have together won a contract from major yarn manufacturer Indian Rayon to transfer an entire plant from Elsterberg, Germany to Veraval, India.
Total volumes for the project are estimated at 400 FEU with the use of 20-25 special containers. APL is the ocean carrier for the move from Hamburg to Pipavav, India while APL Logistics will handle first and last mile activities, providing a complete solution right to the customer’s premises.

APL Logistics, EMD power up partnership in India

Gobal locomotive manufacturing giant Electro-Motive Diesel Inc. (EMD) and APL Logistics today opened a new 50,000 square foot production and warehousing facility in Patli, Gurgaon, India.
EMD’s long-time global supply chain partner APL Logistics will support the assembly of locomotive components and the storage and distribution of aftermarket service parts at the Gurgaon site. APL Logistics assisted EMD in the selection, design and setup of the facility.
